San Francisco, a city that discloses its most treasured secrets only to those who explore it close to the ground: by foot. The best way to understand and appreciate our unique metropolis, is by walking her streets. Each Urban OutFit Hike explores San Francisco’s concrete and natural playgrounds. The hikes are suitable for most fitness levels and always conclude with one of SFs best locally (and lesser known) watering holes.

1/2 DAY URBAN HIKES

A 12-hike series at  moderate to fast paces over flat to steep terrain depending on the hike. All hikes are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM unless otherwise noted in the hike descriptions.

SCENIC & FUN

Converse and enjoy the best sights in San Francisco. We've taken the guesswork out and found the very best routes that cover all the views and peaks of the City by the Bay.

POST HIKE LUNCH

Kick back and relax at an optional post hike social hike at a local, affordable restaurant at the start/end point. Lunch not included in hike price. Paid for separately to restaurant.

MONTHLY HIKE

Each month features a hike offered three times. The hikes are suitable for most fitness levels and always conclude with one of SFs best locally (and lesser known) watering holes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What should I bring to class?
    Running or cross-training shoes. Exercise mat: You'll want something thicker than a yoga mat to provide cushion on hard surfaces. Free Weights: recommended 5-10 lbs for women; 10-15 lbs for men. Optional Equipment**: Foam Roller, Resistance Bands, Resistance Tubing **Recommended for enhancing workout; Ask Instructor for more information
  • What kind of equipment is used during an OutFit workout?
    OutFit incorporates a variety of equipment to vary every workout: Free Weights (required) Resistance Bands (optional) Resistance Tubing (optional) Foam Rollers (optional) Agility Equipment (ladder, cones, etc)** **Provided by OutFit
  • What do the workouts consist of? Will I get bored with the workouts?
    Every workout is unique and designed to address the Fundamentals of Fitness: Flexibility Stability Endurance (both cardiovascular & muscular) Strength Agility Power Guaranteed, you won’t get bored.
  • Do I have to start OutFit at the beginning of the month?
    Start any time during the month – you’ll get a pro-rated rate.
  • How do I sign up for OutFit classes?
    Email us at info@getoutfit.com and let us know when you would like to try your first class. Online registration coming soon.
  • I’m out-of-shape and worried that I won’t be able to keep up with the group. Should I sign-up for OutFit classes?
    All workouts are designed to accommodate ANY level of fitness and can be modified for each individual. Every class has beginner, intermediate and advanced modifications.
  • My knee hurts. Should I come to OutFit classes?
    If you are experiencing an injury, we recommend that you check with your doctor to determine what modifications you'll need before coming to class. With that information we can easily provide you with the coaching, correcting, and cueing you need to stay safe while also getting stronger.
  • Who comes to the OutFit classes?
    Most OutFit team members live or work within the Burlingame and Palo Alto areas. Members cover a full range fitness abilities and goals. Ages range from 12-84 (yeah, she's pretty amazing). All are welcome...
  • Are bathrooms available at the OutFit locations?
    Yep! Public restrooms are available at or within walking distance of each location.
  • How fast will I look and feel more fit?
    Assuming you are eating healthfully and coming to workout at least 3 times per week, you are guaranteed to notice changes in 4-6 weeks.
  • Is there a refund policy?
    We are happy to work with you on your membership commitment should something come up that prevents you from coming to class. Please reach out to us with as much notice as possible so we can work out a solution that's best for you.
  • What paperwork is needed for me to become a member?
    We make it very easy for you! Simply download the OutFit Waiver pdf and membership form and bring to your first class.
